Dan Bluehorse

Treasury, Board of Directors

Dan Bluehorse serves as Treasury of the Board for the True Opportunity Program, bringing a deep commitment to culture, family, community, and personal growth. As a Sundancer and respected community leader, Dan is dedicated to preserving and passing forward Indigenous traditions, values, and teachings for future generations. His leadership reflects a lifelong commitment to honoring his heritage while helping others find purpose, balance, and direction in their own lives.

A devoted father and family man, Dan believes that strong communities are built upon strong foundations at home. He works to instill values of responsibility, respect, perseverance, and cultural pride in his family while encouraging others to pursue meaningful growth and positive change.

Dan is also a strong advocate for helping formerly incarcerated individuals reconnect with themselves and their communities through healthy and constructive activities. One of his passions is introducing individuals to the game of golf—not simply as a sport, but as a therapeutic experience that teaches patience, focus, discipline, and self-control. For many, stepping onto the golf course represents an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and experience the freedom and peace found in open spaces.

Through his service with TOP, Dan helps promote healing, personal accountability, cultural connection, and opportunities for individuals seeking a new path forward. His belief is simple: growth occurs when people are given the chance to reconnect with purpose, community, and themselves.

My Approach

For Dan, growth happens through action. Whether on the golf course, in the community, or in everyday life, he encourages individuals to leave behind the boundaries that have held them back and embrace new opportunities with focus, discipline, and intention.
